Kristen Holmberg Paradiso, born and raised in northern California, is an artist and an art teacher. Art, imagination and creative expression have been constant throughout her life. The symbolism and imagery of Kristen’s artwork integrates her deep connection to the rhythms, gifts, and cycles of nature. She transcribes her visions through a variety of media such as watercolor, acrylic paint, and pyrography. Her artwork is a vehicle for self healing as she provides visual representations of the gifts that are freely offered to us from the living elements of the natural world.
Kristen has been teaching art since 1998 and has been at Alhambra High School in Martinez, California since 2002, where she encourages her students to discover the power of their artistic voice from the well-spring of their unique creativity. As a NEW endeavor, she will be offering online and in person art classes to the general public in the new year. These art classes will integrate creative expression, animal medicine, and community with a ceremonial aspect rooting us more deeply to the rhythms of nature.
